Taiwan focuses on IoT excellence at Ifsec

(Ad by BOFT) TAITRA, stands for Taiwan External Trade Development Council, and it exhibited with a total of 36 companies (11 at the Taitra's national pavilion) from Taiwan at Ifsec International on 20-22 June 2017 in London, UK. Dr. Kuo, Vice Chairman of the organisation, points out the changes in the Taiwan Security industry in the video, and he explains how Taiwan can be of benefit within the IoT trend and business.

Founded in 1970 to help promote foreign trade, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is the foremost non-profit trade promotion organisation in Taiwan. In the video, Dr. Kuo explains Taiwan's role in the security industry, and how it can be of benefit within the Internet of Things (IoT) trend and business.

"IoT is a new concept and a new initiative has been initiated by the government. We have the Taiwan Silicon Valley programme office to move the industry forward with integration via several Special Interest Groups (SIG) to promote Smart transportation, Smart Surveillance, Smart Manufacturing, and more application solutions..." He explains, "With government sponsorship and initiative, Taiwan can take the lead on this."

When asked how the Cyber Security threat should be dealt with today in Taiwan. Dr. Kuo indicates that Taiwan has been under cyber attack for years. "Thanks to these profound experiences, and research and development, Taiwan is becoming the trustworthy partner with very advanced and leading solutions in database protection, penetration testing, and virus prevention." He said, "We are now transferring all this experience into the IoT world."
