TagMaster wins traffic control project

Kista, Sweden

TagMaster has received an order for Traffic Control in Italy. The installation will control and limit traffic in and out of the city centre for environmental and protective purposes. It is a free-flow solution without any barriers.

TagMaster's new RFID tags MarkTag MeM are used in combination with long-range readers from the LR-series. TagMaster's products have been chosen after extensive live tests. The solution will be implemented through-out 2009.

"Our Italian distributor TagItalia has together with a cutting-edge Italian systems integrator leveraged the advantages of the new technology provided in the innovative MarkTag MeM tags. They have jointly developed an impressive solution, which enables protection of city areas that are sensitive to vehicle traffic. The installation does hardly affect the aesthetics, because the readers demand very little space and practically can be set up in any street corner. The Traffic Control market segment is of highest interest and TagMaster's products are well positioned to win more similar projects." says Bo Tiderman, vice president sales & marketing, TagMaster AB.

"TagMaster's products have been used many years in a number of similar installations, where reliability and flexibility have been key to the solution. With the new tag generation, TagMaster is even more competitive. The all-in-one box reader solution, combined with a long and well defined read range, is imperative to succeed in this type of Traffic Control application. The technology that TagMaster's products are built around uses a number of inherent advantages that are not available in competitive solutions." says Christopher Grahn, president & CEO, TagMaster AB.
