Surveillance for maritime environments

Alton, UK

Secure Yacht Ltd, the marine security specialist, is introducing two marine camera solutions at the METS 2008 show, taking place in Amsterdam on 18-20th November 2008.

The solutions are based around the MIC series of fully functional PTZ cameras from Forward Vision, a member of the Bosch group. They provide all the benefits of the MIC series cameras such as brushless motor technology for whisper quiet operation, a choice of 18x and 36x true day night camera modules, compact design, flexible mounting and enhanced viewing options coupled with Secure Yacht Ltd's vast experience in marine security and integration.

Dean La-Vey, managing director of Secure Yacht Ltd comments: "Alongside a standard imaging solution we are launching our CL-412 solution, which is based around a dual spectra unit offering both optical and thermal imaging camera modules in one compact package. Out at sea the thermal imager offers the ultimate in perimeter protection that can instantly be switched to the optical module to retrieve clear identification images at the press of a single button on the control keyboard. While in thermal mode the camera can also see through fog, spray and pitch-black darkness over very long distances."

The cameras themselves can be supplied in a full range of colours and finishes to seamlessly match the vessels they are installed on. Secure Yacht Ltd has already taken its first pre-launch order for the CL-412 solution for a brand new GBP 50 million super-yacht build.
