Securiton releases latest version of IPS Videomanager

Munich, Germany

IPS Intelligent Video Analytics, a business unit of Securiton GmbH, is releasing its latest version 4.0 of IPS Videomanager and IPS Videoanalytics designed with numerous innovations and improvements.
IPS Videomanager is an IP-based, unlimited scalable platform for sophisticated video surveillance applications. It offers dedicated functionalities for basic network video recorders (NVR), comprehensive video management systems (VMS), 3D georeferencing video management systems (3D VMS) and overall multi site management (MSM). The innovative design of IPS Videomanager combines reliable and available solutions with simple and secure system operation.

Version 4.0 of IPS Videomanager offers many new features including support of ONVIF compatible cameras and devices. There is also a multi instance device server for efficient usage of the performance of server resources, plus a redundant device server as n+1 redundancy to enhance the operational safety with automatic switching in case of a failure of a device server to the redundant device server. It is designed with alarm management with workflow and reporting, and an improved and standardised operation of playback and instant replay. It includes a docked resource list with fade-in and fade-out operation and information panels. In addition there is a useful context-sensitive help function within the system and analytics configuration, and a new IPS Mobileclient for Ipads and Iphones as well as new JSON gateway service for the communication between management and Mobileclient. This latest version also includes support for additional camera models from Axis, Arecont, JVC, Panasonic, Securieye and Xenics.

IPS Videoanalytics are intelligent, software-based analytics modules operated on servers or cameras for the automatic detection of security related objects or events in video images. In real-time, they allow motion detection, object tracking, object classification, object identification or behaviour recognition. This facilitates the reduction of data volume, the support of security staff and the improvement of the effectiveness of video surveillance systems.

Version 4.0 includes new IPS server-based video analytics such as IPS public transport protection for real-time alerting in case of unauthorised behaviour in underground or overground railway installations and IPS dome tracker for real-time control of PTZ cameras.
