OT Systems PoE solutions offer complete communication control

Hong Kong, China

OT Systems’ PoE transmission Products support multiple power levels over Ethernet for IP devices. These models offer an effective solution to control communication throughout IP surveillance networks.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a method developed and standardised by IEEE to supply power along with data over Ethernet cables to support IP devices. It eliminates the headache of AC power sockets, cabling and conduit installations and provides significant resource savings. The PoE solution enables flexible installation of IP devices at any location. Its low voltage supply (48V) prevents electric shock hazard, reducing life risk, and offers centralised power management for each device through the single power resource. PoE products are becoming the norm for modernised IP surveillance and security applications.

OT Systems provides complete Power-over-Ethernet product lines from media converters and Ethernet switches to injectors and splitters, meeting specifications for industrial grade applications. The product’s PoE power output can support from 802.3af (15.4W) to 802.3at (30W) standards for fixed IP devices and power hungry devices such as PTZ IP cameras. All products have proper PoE device detection to prevent damage of non-PoE devices (e.g. PC). Their wide operating temperature range and rugged case design provide reliable and stable performance in any extreme environment. The products come with different mounting options including wall-mount, DIN-rail and rack-mount for flexible installation requirements.

To fulfill various application needs, OT Systems has developed 1-port to 24-port PoE media converters and managed/ self-configured/ unmanaged Ethernet switches to power and extend transmission distance up to 100Km. Additionally, these PoE injectors can work with non-PoE switches to provide power over Ethernet cables and data transmission. The PoE splitter sources power from a PoE switch and converts it to 12VDC to power non-PoE cameras and devices.
