New concept suite hotel relies on Geutebruck video system

Leipzig, Germany

Efficient customer services at the new Vasano abito suite hotel in Leipzig, Germany, rely on the video and communication systems from Geutebruck and Elcom which link the apartments with two other business interests - the Vapiano restaurant immediately below it and the Seaside Park Hotel a few streets away.
With the Vasano abito suite hotel, entrepreneur Gregor Gerlach has introduced a new concept to the German hotel scene: luxury without frills, at a modest price. The Vasano offers 18 spacious, 5-star-standard suites with top quality fittings and Italian design, yet has no receptionist, no room service, no restaurant — not even a breakfast room.

In the video-monitored entrance hall is a self-service check-in terminal. This takes credit card payment and issues a room card which also operates the lift. If you need assistance with this then the two-way video and audio links with the adjoining restaurant or the reception desk at the Seaside Park Hotel provide help round the clock. With other video intercom units and dome security cameras mounted in the corridors on all three floors, help is never far away. Fresh rolls and newspapers are delivered to your door and each suite has its own kitchen and dining area with a coffee machine and fridge stocked with breakfast ingredients.

Like the Vasano abito, the Vapiano restaurant and the Seaside Park Hotel also use Re_porter-16 video platforms and dome security cameras which were installed by Leipzig company, Cherier Elektrohandel Elektromontage GmbH. Mr Cherier, a Geutebruck enthusiast reports, “We have every confidence in the brand. — We know that it always works!” Offering high end, real-time performance the re_porter was the obvious choice for this project. “Mr Gerlach is well-known for his use of high quality materials and equipment so Geutebruck’s reputation is a perfect fit,” he explained.
