Cieffe won two major awards at IFSEC 2007

Birmingham, UK

Vincenzo Bono (engineer, R&D dept.) and Alberto Bruschi (sales director) of Cieffe

Cieffe's Nettuno MegaPX was awarded "Best new CCTV product" and "Best of the best" amongst more than 1000 competitors at the IFSEC 2007 Security industry innovation awards.
Cieffe was awarded its second top prize in a row at IFSEC (Birmingham, 21-24 May 2007), one of the leading trade fairs in the security industry.

Nettuno MegaPX received the "Best new CCTV product" and was also awarded the supreme prize of the "Overall best product/service of 2007" out of 41 finalists chosen from an array of more than 1000 entries worldwide for 2007, including products from Bosch, Norbain, Dallmeier Electronic, Dedicated Micros, Siemens and Videotec.

It's the first time ever in IFSEC history that a company is awarded the top prize for two consecutive years (intelligent network codec Nettuno Senses from Cieffe was "Overall winner" in the 2006 edition).

Nettuno MegaPX

Cieffe's newborn Nettuno MegaPX is the world's first CCTV camera to combine megapixel resolution with MPEG4 compression. The implementation of the MPEG4 algorithm on high resolution video avoids traditional restrictions given by JPEG compression: Nettuno MegaPX provides high resolution video compression up to 20 times more effective than standard cameras and sends streams to the network with a resolution 8 times better than present-day video technology, using the same bandwidth.

Nettuno MegaPX can process megapixel video (1600x1200) at 15 fps, and 1280x960 video in real time (25 fps).
