CEM PoE door control successfully released at IFSEC
Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK)
"We were delighted that the DIU 220 was also nominated for the IFSEC awards - Best Access Control product", comments Philip Verner, marketing manager, CEM Systems "The release marks what CEM believes to be to the first Hi-Power PoE (Power over Ethernet) door control offering to the market" Verner continues.
As IP solutions have moved from niche to mainstream, CEM has taken advantage of PoE Plus technology to be the first to offer the option to reliably power a complete door set via Ethernet. Using the DIU 220 and a Hi power PoE splitter module, an access control reader and all associated door furniture (consisting of a controller, 650mA Maglock, door holder, sounder and strobe) can now be powered using one CAT5/6 Ethernet cable.
The DIE 220 fffers a complete IP based solution and eradicates the need to provide local mains power and AC/DC power supplies at the door.
