Developed to address the growing demand for connecting devices located at greater distances within the network infrastructure, Excel Xtend provides a simple, reliable and cost-effective alternative to installing additional cabinets, powered extenders, media converters or active network equipment.

Ideal for applications such as IP CCTV, wireless access points, access control systems and IoT devices, Excel Xtend enables network designers and installers to deliver power and data over significantly longer distances while maintaining compatibility with standard Excel connectivity products.

The new Excel Xtend provides a choice of Cat6 U/UTP B2ca cable for internal and a U/UTP Fca version for external installations. Both have been tested to support a range of extended-reach applications, including:

• Multi Gig support up to 110 metres

• Delivery of 90W PoE++ up to 250 metres

• 1 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity up to 170 metres

The company expects the introduction of Excel Xtend to be particularly beneficial in sectors where devices are frequently deployed at distance, including commercial buildings, education, healthcare, industrial facilities, transportation environments and large-scale security installations. The solution is also supported by an Excel 25-Year System Warranty when installed by an accredited partner.
