In his new role, Nicholas will lead the company’s regional market strategy, prioritising the development and expansion of its Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. As the physical security industry undergoes a significant transition from on-premises to hybrid-cloud deployments, Nicholas will be crucial to driving business growth.

Accelerating SaaS growth

Commenting on his appointment, Nicholas Smith said: "I’m honoured to lead Genetec’s operations in the UK and Ireland. Before joining Genetec, Nicholas served as Business Development Manager for Mobotix AG, a manufacturer of premium-quality intelligent IP video systems. He has also held senior positions at Bosch Security Systems and Sisys Ltd (a UTC Company), where he spearheaded business development initiatives.
