For security applications, OPTEX provides a wide range of intrusion detection sensors, including passive infrared (PIR), active IR beams, LiDAR and fibre-optic sensors, designed to protect any site from the perimeter and approach through to the roof and building interior. Unaffected by variable lighting and most weather conditions, OPTEX sensors deliver highly reliable detection and are designed to integrate seamlessly with other security systems, from alarm panels and NVRs to most video management software (VMS) and PSIM platforms, triggering an event whenever an intrusion or presence is detected in the area of interest.
For high-security, access-controlled areas, OPTEX provides tailgating and reverse detection sensors that add an extra layer of security to existing access control systems, helping to detect and prevent unauthorised access. To improve operational and business efficiency, OPTEX also offers a highly reliable, real-time, multidirectional people counter that gives office buildings, museums, retail stores and venues valuable footfall and occupancy data.
