Wifi home monitoring with live zoom

Taipei, Taiwan

Spotcam, the cloud home monitoring service startup, is introducing a new live zoom feature to its wifi home monitoring camera. The new feature lets users zoom in on a user selected area of the live 720p HD video feed, allowing users to catch all the details they might miss in the full view. Along with motion masking, time lapse and the easy installation, live zoom makes Spotcam a more effective and easy to use video home monitoring solution.

Spotcam’s 720p high resolution video is designed as an ideal solution for capturing all the information in a scene but means smaller visual details can be hard to pick out when viewed at full size. With the live zoom feature, users just drag a zoom selection box to get a close up, letting them focus on an area of interest and catch all the details of the scene even on a smaller screen.

With the motion masking function, users can now tell the Spotcam, which offers 24 hours of cloud based security video storage for free, to ignore the masked areas of the camera's view, such as a window or an entrance, and ensure that they only receive notifications that matter via email or the mobile app. Motion detection alerts are only triggered if there are motions in the unmasked part of the camera view.

As it has been designed for easy setup, Spotcam makes it easy to check up on loved ones from anywhere. A cloud based approach combined with IOS and Android apps means it is easy to see what is going on at home from a computer or smartphone.

With the 24 hours of video stored for free on the cloud, Spotcam wireless security camera users can now easily make time lapse videos to quickly review a day's video recording. Setting the time period and picture intervals lets users customise the time lapse. Whether for quickly reviewing surveillance footage, creating video diaries, or artistic vignettes, the new time lapse feature makes Spotcam more powerful than ever.
