Vuwall supplies uninterrupted vision for 24hr Le Mans

Montreal, Canada

Vuwall, a leader in video wall control systems, has been selected for the deployment of its Vuscape full-featured management software by the 24 Heures du Mans, to control an 8x3 screen video wall in the facility’s control centre.

Dubbed the world's oldest active endurance sports car race, the event is held annually at the La Sarthe Circuit, a 13.6 Km-long (8.5 mile) course in Le Mans, France. Originally planned for June 13-14, the race has been rescheduled to September 19-20 in reaction to the COVID-19 crisis.

“We are proud to be partnering with such a historic sporting event. This new video wall will offer the 24 Heures du Mans unprecedented control over all of the resources necessary to manage what is known as the Grand Prix of endurance and efficiency, " said Paul Vander Plaetse, CEO at Vuwall. “Another exciting element of the race coverage on this new course will be the ability to offer precise and high-quality content from Air2D3’s drone fleet to the screens of the video wall in the control room.”

The newly enhanced Vuscape video wall controller is ideal for control rooms, collaboration rooms, and corporate signage. The latest version boasts collaboration and KVM support, in addition to its existing video wall control functionality. Vuscape’s control software, Vuwall2 now features automation enhancements including a new carousel for IP streams, colour detection; TLS security; new VMS plug-ins, and full KVM support of IP sources.

Vuwall2 grants access to and integrates visual information from many different sources on one screen, including web pages, computers on the network, IP cameras, local applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), as well as collaboration and video conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc.). Operators can intuitively arrange the content sources in any configuration they need for better visualisation. In addition, they can quickly create various layouts, save them, and recall them as race conditions change.
