Vivotek makes first appearance at key Australian Security 2011

Sydney, Australia

Vivotek Inc is participating for the first time at the Security 2011 Exhibition, Australia's premier industry exhibition, which takes place this week from August 24 to August 26.
"We are very excited about attending Security 2011 in Australia," said William Ku, Director of Brand Business at Vivotek. "We look forward to meeting potential business partners and exploring potential opportunities for collaboration or partnership."

According to the IMS Research market report, entitled the Asia Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment (2010 Edition), the IP surveillance market in Oceania is growing in excess of 30% (CAGR). "The Australian market is extremely important to us and that’s why we are bringing our best products to the show, including our first fisheye camera," added William.

The FE8171V, Vivotek’s first fisheye fix-domed network camera, is the company’s latest additions to the Supreme product series, just released in August 2011. Featuring a detailed 3.1MP-resolution sensor with superb image quality, the FE8171V offers a 360° panoramic view without blind spots as well as an 8X wider field of view than a standard VGA camera.

In addition to the FE8171V, Vivotek will be showcasing many other security cameras from the Supreme series, which is the company’s high-end product line. Many of them feature extreme weather-proof protection and carry the P-iris lenses. The world’s first network camera to support scalable video doding (SVC), next generation extension of H.264 will be present at Vivotek’s booth as well.

Vivotek is working with Altech Computers and is holding the Vivotek Solution Partner Symposium at Altech’s booth at the show. Vivotek has invited Aimetis, Circus, Genetec and Milestone to present the latest features of their most recent software products and discuss integration with Vivotek’s platforms.
