Vista quantum receives top score in Benchmark review

Reading, UK

The Vista Quantum 4 DVR has been awarded 8.37/10 in the May/June issue of Benchmark magazine. This put it at the top of its class in comparison to three other units also being rated in the 4 input DVR group.

The Quantum 4 is an entry-level DVR which incorporates MPEG-4 compression to ensure small file sizes whilst maintaining the highest quality video possible. The recorder has been specifically designed for smaller surveillance applications and, with this in mind, it has been designed to be extremely straightforward to install. With a choice of hard disk sizes, advanced alarm and recording options with record rates of up to 100 images per second, Quantum represents a flexible alternative to more expensive digital video recording solutions. Other features include alarm inputs, network and USB connectivity, audio and optional DVD drives.

According to Benchmark magazine: "The Quantum 4 from Vista is hard to fault. It's basic, simple, effective, easy to use, has a full manual and is a very nice unit. That the Quantum range as a whole has become very well established in a relatively short space of time is not a surprise. It does what it sets out to do very well and, as long as it is considered as such, it will continue to win over installers and end users alike"

"We're delighed that the Quantum has come top in the ratings from such a respected independent tester," says Mark Pritchard, divisional director for Vista "The Quantum is all about providing smaller installations with an easy to use solution, without compromising on quality or features"
