The Urack intelligent video server is designed in a universal control rack format with 8 hot swappable slots. Each slot accommodates one video card module that supports 4 video inputs to perform 4channel video content analytics concurrently. This Urack also has a redundant Ethernet ring.

The new Urack video server and all embedded TDV devices support various video content analysis functions, including camera tamper verification, fighting detection, moving object detection, removed/abandoned object verification, smoke and flame Detection, crowd and gathering detection, people counting, and facial recognition.

According to TDV, a CMS manufacturer and provider has chosen TDV's Icard40 for its work station for a high security project requirement at the factories (in both China and Taiwan) of a world-known company.  With TDV's cutting-edge functional devices, the solution has reportedly successfully offered analytic functions in the combined architecture of CCTV analogue and/or IP cameras.

The TDV intelligent video sensing server (Ibox or Urack) performs as a VCA gateway and can convert the analogue image signals (from CCTV cameras) into D1 H.264 video streams to transmit them with metadata of video content analysis (VCA) to the configured NVR(s) and/or CMS workstation. 

The VCA gateway manages all of the intelligent video devices, such as the VCA workstation, intelligent IP cameras, Esensor, Ibox and Urack800.  The VCA gateway transmits the metadata to the CMS workstation (at a proprietary protocol). In this way, the CMS has only to work with the unique VCA gateway and no need to access different metadata sources directly by itself. Such modular architecture makes integration easier with different CMS providers and manufacturers.
