Hanwha builds on US development initiative

Ridgefield, Park, NJ (USA)

To further increase its value-added business proposition to both end-users and reseller partners, Hanwha Techwin America continues to fortify its business development initiative with additional new sector programmes and highly experienced personnel.

The 2016 business development team is headed by Ray Cooke, Hanwha Techwin America’s Vice President of Business Development, who will oversee all regional business development activities and vertical market penetration. Ray will be working jointly with Hanwha’s North America Sales team led by Tom Cook, Vice President of Sales. The unified strategic approach is designed to better support Hanwha Techwin’s ecosystem of technology partners and systems integrators by assisting them with significant projects from the earliest stages.

“By more closely integrating our sales and new business development teams, we can deliver even higher added-value and service to our partners and customers across a wider range of core and vertical markets,” said Tom Cook, Vice President of Sales, Hanwha Techwin America. “Building on Hanwha’s attributes of performance, quality and reliability, our new business development strategies for 2016 will further contribute to our growth in the Americas and beyond.”

“Our experienced Business Development Managers will provide the highest level of service to the retail, education, city surveillance and other key industries that continue to show strong demand for advanced surveillance and security system solutions,” said Ray Cooke, Vice President of Development, Hanwha Techwin America. “We are also well-positioned to achieve significant growth in other important verticals, such as transit, seaport, corrections, federal, healthcare and utilities, that each have specific nuances and needs.”

The members of Hanwha Techwin America’s 2016 business development team have been carefully selected based on their experience and success in solution sales and business development with particular vertical markets for several of the most recognisable security companies in the world.

The team includes Hal Bennick a 15-year veteran of the industry who comes to Hanwha from Panasonic, where he was a Solutions Architect and Business Development Manager for Security and Public Sector.  In his new role with Hanwha, he will focus on high-value projects and solutions for the transit, rail, fleet and seaport verticals across North America. Additionally, Hal will also lead key new opportunities and end user accounts for retail, education, city surveillance and other vital verticals in Central United.

Justin Lott has been in the industry since 2001, most recently leading federal vertical market efforts for Milestone Systems, focusing on long-term, complex software sales across multiple agencies, including the DoJ and DoD. Justin will focus on driving large, long-term projects in the Federal and Corrections markets in North America, as well as leading key projects for strategic industries like retail, education and city surveillance for Hanwha’s Eastern U.S. territory.

Finally, John Recesso brings more than 20 years of experience in high-tech, IT and security industry experience to Hanwha, most recently leading A&E business development for Hikvision USA. In his new role, John will focus on driving business development initiatives of A&Es.
