GeoVision launches new hardware compression DVR

GeoVision Inc. announces the launch of the GV-2008/GV-2016 DVR to add selection for its 4U (S-Series) and hot swap (H-series) DVR.

The GV-2008/2016 DVR is a hardware compressions DVR that features full D1 live recording and real-time display at 8/16 cameras with 8/16 audio channels. The GV-2008/2016 guarantees a solid 30fps frame rate and high resolution images. Casino or bank project coordinators will find it suitable for recommendation to the projects with critical requirements.

The GV-2008/2016 DVR uses MPEG-2 / 4 hardware compression codecs to free CPU capacity from the intensive compression tasks. Its frame rate will not drop due to CPU overload. In addition to hardware compression, the GV-2008/2016 provides alternative of Geo MPEG-4, Geo MPEG-4 ASP, and Geo H264 advanced software compressions codecs.

The 4U S-Series GV-2008/2016 DVR provides various HDD sizes for storage requirements. Users can also choose from the hot swap H-Series of GV-2008/2016 DVR which provides 4/6/8 bays hot-swappable SATA HDD.
