This year’s award was based on U.S. News’ independent review of nearly 1,100 privately held companies and non-profit organisations across the United States. The evaluation draws from publicly available information to assess how organisations prioritise and support employee experience.

To determine the best workplaces, U.S. News’ editorial team analysed employee perceptions across six factors that are important to employee well-being: quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, and career opportunities and professional development. Only companies that landed in the top 25% of their industry and region earned a place on the list.
