Introduced in 2000, the awards recognise security technologies that combine innovation with tangible benefits, such as versatility and ease of use, for security professionals and end users alike. There is no formal entry process, instead the judging panel review and analyse the security market to identify, nominate and select the winning products.

Explaining why TXI was selected as the winner, the judges said: "By combining purpose-built high-mount curtain detection with Triple AND Logic, TXI Series delivers reliable perimeter protection while reducing unwanted alarms - a truly innovative solution to the challenges of high-mounted outdoor detection."

What makes TXI different?

According to Optex, for decades, outdoor detection has involved a difficult balancing act. To reduce false alarms caused by pets, wildlife and moving vegetation, sensors are often configured to be less sensitive, which can also reduce their ability to detect a genuine intruder. Thanks to its patent-pending Triple AND Detection Logic, the TXI Series takes a different approach.

Rather than relying on reduced sensitivity, TXI requires three independent detection conditions to be met simultaneously before an alarm is triggered. A human intruder naturally satisfies these conditions, while pets, small animals and common environmental disturbances do not. The result is highly reliable outdoor detection with significantly fewer nuisance alarms, helping installers reduce costly call-backs while giving end users greater confidence in every alarm event.

The award was received by Eelko Griepink, Optex Regional Sales Manager Benelux & Nordics during the official Detektor International Award ceremony at Stockholmsmässan in Sweden, in conjunction with Skydd 2026.
