The new glass door lock from Salto solves this problem by being stand alone and wire free. It can be fitted in almost any type of glass door and when networked via the Salto virtual network control system, can revolutionise the problems associated with key control.

SVN eliminates the need to replace locks when key or code security is breached due to the loss or theft of keys and codes, allowing ID cards and locks to be updated, restricted or deleted remotely. And, in addition, a choice of Smart Card, Contactless Mifare, HID iCLASS, Legic Proximity or iButton technologies can be selected to provide the ultimate in convenient, secure, access control management.

Constructed from stainless steel, with an attractive satin finish, the lock comes with its own mortice lock and is simple and quick to install offline. Power is supplied by 3 AAA batteries, which are good for up to 30,000 openings, and a low power indicator is built-in to the lock. It supports up to 64,000 users and features an audit trail of the last 1,000 events stored in a non volatile flash memory. It is also equipped with a low power consumption real-time clock function, which allows for time zone access planning and the use of up to 10 different calendars.

The lock features hardened steel anti-drill plates and anti-vandal protection to protect the electronics, which are housed in the inner backplane, and it comes with a 3-year warranty as standard. A choice of up to 4 different handle designs also ensure the new glass door lock from Salto Systems will compliment any choice of décor, whatever it is used.
