Veracity targets growth in ME

Prestwick, UK and Dubai, U.A.E

Veracity, a provider of innovative, intelligent solutions that solve real-world IP video challenges in transmission, storage and display, reflects significant growth in the Middle East by confirming its presence on 5 stands at this year’s Intersec show in Dubai this week.

Veracity appointed Systematrix as their manufacturer’s representative in the region in early 2015 and with the experience of the owner, Chetan Sathaye, and his team of four security sales professionals has seen significant growth across not only the Middle East, but also Africa and India.

Veracity will be demonstrating its portfolio of innovative transmission and storage products with 5 key partners during Intersec which runs from 17th to 19th of January at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Veracity products will be showcased at the partner stands of Systematrix, Mayflex, Norbain, Samsung/BASS and Harco Group.

Veracity products on show include Coldstore, an innovative network attached storage (NAS) system designed for video surveillance systems requiring long duration archives with the highest levels of reliability and the lowest total cost of ownership. The revolutionary sequential storage system typically offers a 90% power saving versus RAID with much higher disk reliability and a lossless failover technology that removes the need for time-consuming rebuilds of failed drives.

Offered as a 3U high, 120Tb unit that uses only 0.5W per terabyte, Coldstore also forms part of the innovative Trinity architecture that eliminates the need for network video recorder (NVR) servers by allowing IP cameras to record directly to the Coldstore disk array. Trinity is currently supported by cameras from Samsung Techwin (WisenetIII), Axis Communications (ACAP), UDP and a number of models from other camera manufacturers.

Also on display at Intersec will be the full range of transmission products and tools including the Highwire Ethernet over Coax portfolio and Longspan and Outreach family of extended range Ethernet and POE devices.

“Demand for Veracity products has grown significantly within the Middle East region. The reliability and cost-benefits of Coldstore in projects which require data retention of up to 180 days is now widely recognised and looks sure to increase as we get ready for an exciting 2016,” says James Ritchie, Business Development Manager (Middle East) for Veracity, “Innovative products such as Coldstore and close partnership initiatives such as Trinity are essential for our community of installers to help differentiate themselves and deliver high value projects to end-customers with a wide variety of use cases and technical considerations.”
