The United Arab Emirates is located at the heart of the Middle East boom region, with its impressive growth rates and flourishing construction sector. It was in response to this new-found prosperity that Intersec - a forum for all matters relating to fire protection and security and safety systems - was first held eleven years ago. VdS Schadenverhütung will be demonstrating the full range of its services at Intersec 2009, from A for "approval procedures" to Z for "zone protection". VdS experts will be on hand to advise building and commissioning clients involved in the planning of new buildings or renovation projects. In addition, VdS can be consulted about the choice of suitable fire protection systems and certified specialist providers - be-cause a viable security and safety concept takes into account not only the technology used but also the planning and installation of the systems. The trade show's slogan - "The holistic approach to security and safety" - is consistent with VdS's integral concept: security and safety are very much dependent on the coordinated interworking of different factors.

VdS personnel at the trade show stand will also be providing information about international conferences and about VdS's comprehensive training and education program. Know-how is a pivotal factor in any security and safety concept. There are, for example, training courses for fire prevention officers in companies, hospitals and shopping centers. On request, VdS training courses can also be held at the customer's own premises.
