Two RFID reader models with

Stockholm, Sweden

TagMaster, a producer of advanced RFID solutions for all access installations, has launched two new reader models in the LR-series. These readers address application areas such as Parking, Gated Communities and Condominiums as well as People Access.

The LR-3 eas is equipped with a predefined set of functionality for standard access control installations and uses a standard Wiegand interface for communication with an access control system.

The LR-3 pro is a full function reader model that can be equipped with all TagMaster reader applications and interfaces. The LR-3 pro reader can be configured and controlled via the Ethernet interface, either locally or remotely via an Internet connection. The LR-3 pro supports several standard interfaces including Ethernet (TCP/IP), RS232, RS485 and Wiegand/Mag-stripe. The LR-3 pro reader can be equipped with any of TagMaster's software applications providing a broad range of functionality targeted at various segments related to automatic identification. The LR-3 pro is open for development of your own applications using the TagMaster Software Development Kit.

The reading range for both readers is, depending on the ID-tag used, up to 5 meters using a low output power in the license free 2.45 GHz band.

Both readers are characterised by the high-quality and reliability associated with the TagMaster's product line - the LR-series. These two models replace the existing LR-3 reader. The LR-series uses a elegantly gray colour scale and a rounded shape together with a compact all-in-one box, makes for discreet and professional installations. The robust polymers make for a reader resistance to mechanical damage in all outdoor installations.

Both the LR-3 eas and the LR-3 pro reader features several functions. A loop detector input is available for situations where ID-tag reading should be activated only when a vehicle is present. Frequency hopping (FHSS**) enables the reader to "hop" between frequencies within the specified band, ensuring smooth and stable operation in multi-reader environments and other RF intensive areas.
