Safenet opens office in Dubai

Dubai, UAE

SafeNet, Inc., a global player in information security, announces that it has opened a new office in Dubai to support the business needs for data protection in the Middle East. This new office expands SafeNet's global presence of 26 offices and more than 25,000 customers in 100 countries.

The growth in the Dubai economy has led to many opportunities for SafeNet's Data Protection and eSafe solutions because the need for security in structured and un-structured data environments has become a significant focus for enterprises throughout the Middle East and Africa. There are growing opportunities for businesses to meet increased governance and regulatory compliance requirements in the region. SafeNet's broad range of Data Protection solutions address compliance challenges such as PCI-DSS, national ID, and e-passport directives. SafeNet's DataSecure is the perfect solution for all banks and major merchants which need security technology for PCI-DSS certification.

"As one of the top five global information security vendors we have the broadest range of Data Protection and Content Security solutions in the market," said Kane Hardy, VP, southern EMEA sales, SafeNet. "SafeNet has been active in the region for the past decade, but this expansion of a SafeNet office in Dubai is a great opportunity to better support this market."

SafeNet's latest involvement in the Middle East, include SafeNet's hardware security modules (HSMs) being used by Middle East governments for securing national identity solutions. The majority of banks in the Middle-East and African region use SafeNet HSMs in order to secure financial transactions. SafeNet HSMs have provided reliable protection for applications, transactions, and information assets by safeguarding the cryptographic keys that are at the heart of any encryption-based security solution.
