NVT to exhibit at ExpoProtection

Paris, France

Network Video Technologies (NVT), will be showing their range of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) CCTV Video and Power transmission products.

Amongst several new Power, Video & Data (PVD) UTP transmission products, the NV-4PS10-PVD 4-channel Power Supply Integrator Hub and NV-4PS13-PVD Power Supply Passive Transceiver hub are designed for smaller camera count installations. For use with NVT's NV-216A-PV / NV-218A-PVD transceivers, or new NV-226J-PV Video Transmitter 12VDC Converter, the NV-4PS10-PVD and NV-4PS13-PVD Power Supply Passive Transceiver hubs are key hybrid components that consolidate CCTV system cabling and provide camera power at distance.

Ideally located within an Intermediate Distribution Frame/Telecom room, the wall or desk mounted NV-4PS10-PVD negates the need for cameras to be supplied with their own dedicated fused spur - saving time and money.

Complementing the NV-4PS10-PVD and NV-4PS13-PVD is the new NV-226J-PV Video Transmitter 12VDC Converter, a passive video, and power transmitter combining a 24/28VAC to 12VDC converter. Designed to fit directly on to the back of a fixed camera, this unit converts 24/28VAC power from NVT's PVD Power Supply Hub or Cable Integrator, while delivering real-time baseband (composite) video at extended distances over standard Cat5e UTP cable.

Saving valuable equipment racking space is the new NV-813S, NV-1613S and NV-3213S Passive Transceiver 'Stub' Hubs. Requiring no power input, the new hubs are extremely compact, with standard rack-mountable dimensions of 19" wide by 1U high but just 1" deep for the 8 / 16-channel versions. Providing transmission of real-time colour video over UTP cable, each hub supports baseband (composite) signals of any type and are fully 'up-the-coax' compatible when used with another passive transceiver. Used in conjunction with any NVT Passive Transceiver, transmission distances of up to 225m can be achieved. Alternatively, when used with an NVT Active Receiver or hub, a 1km transmission distance is achievable. Each model also includes a choice of screw terminal or RJ45 video inputs.

NVT's top of the range release is the revolutionary 8, 16 and 32-channel 'Digital EQ' Active Receiver Hubs will also be on show. The NV-872, NV-1672 and NV-3272 Active DEQ models allow the transmission of real-time camera video at distances up to one mile (1.6km) using unshielded twisted-pair Cat5e cable. The Digital EQ Active Receiver Hubs continuously and automatically compensate for cable attenuation, ground loops, and wiring polarity, independent of video signal image - meaning no video equalisation adjustments are necessary.

The NV-872 and the NV-1672 also include a Distribution Amplifier (DA) built into each channel. These compact 1U high hubs feature two video outputs per input channel (NV-1672), or four outputs per channel (NV-872) - for high-density distribution amplifier applications. All three hub models are equipped with built-in multi-stage transient protection and 'per channel' video quality diagnostic LEDs.

Steve Proctor, NVT's sales director commented: "The use of NVT's range of innovative DigitalEQ and 'single cable' integrated PVD transmission products offer faster, more cost-effective and physically less cumbersome camera cable installations. NVT UTP video transmission technology is being used across the globe within CCTV systems, where the multiple benefits of NVT UTP are being leveraged to yield significant savings, whilst improving the quality and consistency of transmitted camera video."

As with all NVT products, the new additions provide unparalleled interference rejection, allow video and low-voltage power to coexist within the same 4-pair cable, carry a Lifetime Warranty, and are UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant.
