New NVT Cable Integrator Hub has the Power to save money

London (UK)

The award-winning manufacturer of high-performance, real-time, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) transmission equipment Network Video Technologies (NVT), has released an ultra compact Power Supply Cable Integrator Hub, designed to provide remote power to CCTV cameras.

For use with NVT's NV-216A-PV or NV-218A-PVD transceiver at the camera end, just 1U tall, the rack mountable NV-16PS10-PVD is a key hybrid component that consolidates CCTV system cabling and provides camera power at distance, with pass-through video and telemetry data connection for up to 16 cameras/unit.
Supporting short or long distance cable runs, the NV-16PS10-PVD features independently selectable 24/28 VAC, with 1 Amp max power output/channel (aggregate). Each of the hub's sixteen camera RJ45 sockets includes individually floating outputs to ensure ground-loop immunity. This, along with unparalleled interference rejection and low emissions allow NVT UTP video signals to co-exist adjacent to telephone, datacom and low voltage power. The new hub also uses standard telecom/datacom structured cabling pinouts per EIA/TIA 568B, allowing generic wiring installations which are both cost effective, forward compatible and future proof.
Ideally located within an IDF/Telecom, or MDF/Equipment room, the NV-16PS10-PVD negates the need for cameras to be supplied with their own dedicated switched spur - saving time and money via a greatly simplified installation process. Along with automatic reset fault protection, transient protection and on-board LED diagnostics to indicate: load/no load, miswires, and overload conditions, NVT's NV-16PS10-PVD helps installers to perform fast and efficient CCTV installations.
Steve Proctor, NVT's Sales Director commented: 'Using the NV-16PS10-PVD means installers and end-users can further benefit from the already significant cost and performance benefits associated with NVT UTP. With the introduction of the single cable integrated Power, Video and Data transmission solution over standard 4-pair UTP cable, customers can be confident of a high-performance, cost effective and less cumbersome CCTV installation."
