New flagship IoT web IP smart card reader from Civintec

Civintec Global has enriched the functions of its Crystal Touch, a stylish and modern IP security reader, that is Linux based and equipped with a 3.5” touch screen, and is configurable with touch pin code, with the ability to display any logotype or image.

The new flagship IoT web IP smart card reader, CT5, incorporates ISO18092 NFC and BLE for mobile phone credential usage, and dual 125KHz & 13.56MHz smart card identification technology. It is also featured with wiegand 26-256, RS485 OSDP and embedded TCP/IP(HTTP protocol/IoT web) and relay control to work with most brands of controllers on the market or to build an affordable web server management access control system.

As it features Mifare Plus, Desfire EV1/EV2 and Ultralight C with one or more ISO7816 SAM slots to enhance data encryption, these innovative technologies offer advanced security to prevent smart cards from being copied. The biometric identification technology used supports ISO19794-2 and ANSI 378 templates; the 256-bit AES fingerprint data encryption guarantees the reality of authorised persons.  As it supports mobile credentials through ISO18092 NFC and BLE 4.0, the Crystal Touch (CT5) reader is able to receive online credentials via mobile phones both Android and IOS models. 

Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP), TCP/IP and Wifi 4G are embedded to benefit the developments of customised advanced, flexible, and highly-secured in system communication. The Crystal Touch allows users to programme pin codes in a fixed, one-time or random setting for user friendly and easy management.  It is possible to use the system with an auto-focus hi-res camera to record all images at every access.  In case of a tamper alert, the reader will activate protection with an SMS message alarm that will be sent in real time.
