New Dubai Hyatt demands seamless access control

Dubai, U.A.E

Back-office access control at Dubai’s new Hyatt has now been future-proofed

The Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights hotel required a new electronic access control system for its non-public facing areas, including administrative back-office space. The hotel group chose the Assa Abloy Aperio electronic technology to work seamlessly along side the Gallagher access control system.

This new 5-star hotel in Dubai’s Healthcare City, the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, has 464 luxury rooms spread over 34 floors. It caters to both business and leisure travellers. As part of their requirement in addition to the system itself, the Hyatt needed reliable technical and customer support and a local system integrator as well as a cost-effective solution to meet project budgets.

Assa Abloy partnered with Gallagher for the on-line locking systems and x-Plan  for the offline systems.

Back-office access control at Dubai’s new Hyatt has now been future-proofed. Local system integrator Al Futtaim Technologies installed a mix of online and offline Aperio electronic access control devices.

To date, 25 online E100 escutcheons and 51 offline E900 escutcheons have been fitted. Aperio enables security managers at the new Hyatt to monitor doors remotely; to open doors wirelessly; and to create audit trails for specific staff-access only doors on demand.

Attractive Aperio component design ensures new escutcheons complement the contemporary feel of the Hyatt’s new commercial back office space. Aperio wireless escutcheons are easy to install and linked to the access control systems. Aperio equipped doors are operated with standard RFID smartcards and powered by standard batteries. It will be easy to incorporate additional Aperio locks should the hotel need them in the future.
