New business manager appointed to run Norbain's UCP

Reading, Berkshire (UK)

In a move designed to build on the Vista brand's UK success and increase its penetration in overseas markets, Norbain Group has created a new business entity, Ultimate CCTV Products (UCP). Following a strategic review, UCP will become the owner of the Group's own brand trademarks and intellectual property rights. To lead the new venture, Norbain Group has appointed Nicolas Richter, who joined the company this week.
Active in the security industry for over 20 years and fluent in 5 languages, Nicolas has extensive experience of managing businesses in an international environment. Most recently, he was responsible for the Siemens Security Products business, where he led the sales, marketing and product portfolio teams for CCTV, Intruder and Access Control. During his 12 years at Siemens, he gained extensive experience driving product marketing and management functions as well as innovation with the R&D activities in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia and Ireland.

Previously, Nicolas worked for leading international companies including Compagnie des Signaux, Ritzenthaler, Thorn Security and Philips Electronics.

Heading-up the UCP team, Nicolas will report directly to Alun John, Norbain Group's Chief Executive. "I'm looking forward to working with Norbain's high caliber staff and customers, to develop UCP's penetration into existing and planned markets," says Nicolas. "I'm excited about the opportunities that exist to promote the internationalisation of the Group's own brands, and to further develop business growth in overseas markets."

"We are very pleased to have secured the services of a highly experienced manager familiar with international product marketing and management," said Alun John, Chief Executive, Norbain Group Limited. "An important step for the business, the recruitment of Nicolas will accelerate the development of our brands, and I wish him every success in this new role."
