Navtech launches Advanceguard enhancements to ME markets
London, UK
Navtech Radar offers a range of radar sensors suitable for use within the Advanceguard solution. These operate from a minimum detection distance of 2 metres up to a maximum of 1,600 metres. The radar systems can be mounted close to the ground or several metres up and out of reach as required. Detection and non-detection zones can be software configured to suit a particular site. Different interfaces are also available, from simple alarm output devices through to security management system integration.
The Advanceguard control system – witness – is comprised of six integrated modules and provides a range of crucial system services; from tracking targets and controlling cameras to handling the complex algorithms that analyse a target’s behaviour and assign threat levels. At Intersec, a series of new software features and functionalities will be shown:
Situation awareness has been improved with zone-specific parameters which allow tracking in different areas to be tailored. For instance, different areas of the same site can be given very different sensitivity rules depending on the exact nature of the area (road, rough ground, water, car park and so on) to be covered.
A new approach rule allows the system operator to be told if an intruder/target is approaching a certain point from any position. If for example an aircraft or vehicle is parked at a given location for a period of time, the operator can position a virtual marker over the area. This will generate an alarm if someone approaches it and gets within a predetermined range. This can be done quickly and easily, and is extremely useful for sites that need a dynamic solution because requirements change quickly. It also does away to some extent with the operator having to draw new zones around areas that are subject to change.
Other new features include camera viewers which pop up automatically when a camera is tracking and improved support for IP cameras; Navtech Radar is adding new cameras to its camera compatibility list all the time.
