Milipol Qatar 2008 to open its doors in November

Over the past 12 years Milipol Qatar has witnessed steady growth, testifying to the need for a targeted local event. It has now become the principal meeting place where suppliers of security products and services come together with buyers and consultant advisors of governments from the Gulf region, the rest of the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. It represents a professional regional shop-window for the latest technological developments in the field of internal state security.
With 258 exhibitors from 37 countries, Milipol Qatar 2008 is in increase of 5 percent compared to its last edition.
The minister of interior of the State of Qatar invites official delegations from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia as well as Europe to attend the event and discover new technologies in this specialist field. They are ministers, high-ranked officials from ministries of interior and of defence, ambassadors, CEO, consultants etc. More than 4,000 visitors are expected this year, all professionals of state security, defence, or responsible for industrial and sensitive sites.
Brigadier Nasser Bin Fahed Al-Thani of the Qatar minister of interior and head of the Milipol Qatar committee comments: "We look forward to welcoming even more companies from around the world to Milipol Qatar in November. With a brand new exhibition centre in Doha, Milipol Qatar will be an ideal meeting place for industrial companies to present their products and for key governement buyers from the region to discover innovative technologies and products responding to their requirements in the field of security."
