Dubai, UAE
ISNR (International Security & National Resilience) Abu Dhabi will be the Middle East's first event focussed exclusively on homeland security. The exhibition & conference will take place 2-5 March 2008 and will occupy four halls at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre. To be held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ISNR Abu Dhabi will be organized by Reed Exhibitions in association with the UAE Ministry of Interior.
A study commissioned by Reed Exhibitions in preparation for ISNR has concluded that the Middle East's security market will be worth over AED 7.7 billion next year (2008) and will grow over 50 percent to reach AED 11.8 billion in 2013. In 1998 security spending in the region was just over AED 2.9 billion.
Over the last few months, an ISNR Abu Dhabi delegation comprising officials from Reed Exhibitions Middle East and senior members of the UAE Ministry of Interior (MoI) has undertaken an extensive international promotion campaign to highlight the Middle East's homeland security market potential. The team has taken part in several global industry events including Milipol - Paris, DSEi - London, the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, IDEF-Turkey (International Defence Industry Fair), the Global Security Exhibition in Singapore, IFSEC-India, Security & Defence - Bangkok and the CSPE Exhibition in Schenzen, China.
