Dubai, UAE

Intersec Trade Fair and Conference 2010, which will be held from 17 - 19 January 2010 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, is one of the world's largest security and safety event outside Europe. The Gulf region is one of the most challenging markets for the fire fighting, fire prevention and rescue industries worldwide. Major investments in infrastructure, construction and industry sectors help to continuously raise the bar for fire & safety, both on site and in commercial and residential buildings.

Ms. Victoria Lee, Senior Show Manager, Intersec trade fair and conference said: "We are very excited about this year's show which has attracted attention from regional key players and the international security industry. The exhibition will for the first time present an industry generated approach to trends, products and market news in the CCTV and IT Security industries as well as fire fighting, fire prevention and rescue. The exhibition is the meeting point for experts with insights on the latest technologies. It hosts top-class experts who possess global industry knowledge.

Ms Lee added: "This year's event has some great added features such as the free to attend open forums, the live demo areas and an exciting and exhilarating championship where firefighters from the UAE and other countries will compete against each other in a three day challenge. These added features are sure to generate interest amongst exhibitors and visitors and will increase the exhibition's interactive environment."

An indoor Demo Area has been created which provides exhibitors with the option of demonstrating their products/services effectively to visitors on a larger scale and in a more interactive environment.

For the first time in the UAE, fire fighters from Canada and all seven Emirates will compete against each other in six categories relating to fire fighting and rescue. This will be a three-day challenge called the UAE International Firefit Championships. The event is supported by Dubai Civil Defence and organised by 911 Fire Fighting and FireFit Canada.
