New Hiqview bullet IP for extreme weather

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview is launching a new outdoor bullet security camera, the HIQ-6383, which features numerous functions and supports an operating temperature range of  -40℃~50℃ (-40℉ ~ 122℉ ) with a built-in heater.

The built-in heater enables the HIQ-6383 to operate well under harsh circumstances, such as low temperature environments and high temperature environments. It is equipped with a 1/2.7” megapixel CMOS sensitisation component and has an all-IP architecture. The built-in open platform web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser. The images captured by the HIQ-6383 can be compressed into three formats: H.264/MPEG-4/M-JPEG, and have multiple resolutions: full HD/HD/VGA/QVGA/QCIF. Under full HD resolution, the HIQ-6383 is capable of outputting effective images at 30fps@1080p real-time. Users can choose a suitable streaming format to meet different environmental concerns.

According to Hiqview, the external 3.6~16mm F1.2 varifocal lens is connected to the HIQ-6383 via an exclusive patented design, which provides users with an easy camera installation and adjustment facility. The built-in 35-piece IR LEDs with IR cut filter mechanism, supporting radiation distances up to 25 meters, ensures that the images captured by the HIQ-6383 are clear under just about any light source, during the day or at night. The HIQ-6383 is housed in an aluminium enclosure with an IP66-rated water-proof and dust-proof standard that makes this network camera much safer and more reliable in all applications outdoors.

The network deployment of the HIQ-6383 is both simple and quick. An installation tool is provided, which automatically searches for IP cameras that are already connect to the internet. This “auto-search” feature alleviates the inconvenience of complex network settings for users.   The HIQ-6383 supports built-in 802.3at, 30.0 watts via a Power over Ethernet switch, thus users do not need to additionally install  power lines. Consequently, the total power line cost is reduced sharply. In addition, there are more options available within the HIQ-6383, including DI/DO, and Micro SD card local storage. The GUI design is also offered based on a user-friendly principle and for easy manipulation.

A free-bundled NVR software is also offered in the camera box on shipment. The NVR software supplies users with omni-bearing video management and surveillance. The rich functional HIQ-6383 is made for day and night operations making it ideal for surveillance in open environments both indoors and outdoors.
