Hiqview full HD 16ch NVR supports storage up to 16Tb

Hiqview has launched a full HD 16-channel network video recorder (NVR), the HIQ-3716, and it is designed to support maximum storage of up 16Tb with great performance and high stability.

HIQ-3716 is a 16-channel NVR are designed to effectively perform various video central management functions such as, transfer, storage, playback and event alarm, etc. The recording frame rate is up to 480fps@1920 x 1080, and the recording throughput is 80 Mbps. Therefore, no matter whether viewing live video or playback, the HIQ-3716 is capable of producing excellent video quality in real time.

The NVR supports multiple resolutions: 5Mp / 3Mp / 2Mp / full HD / megapixel / FD1 / CIF / QCIF. With synchronous playback users are able to view playback videos at the same time for up to 4 cameras. The HIQ-3716 web interface provides functions to search recorded video by time or by event and users can stop, pause, fast forward or rewind the playback videos anytime. If set to record in high resolution, the user can zoom to view the playback video without losing any detail. The recorded video can be exported as an AVI file for further investigation.

The HIQ-3716 NVR GUI (graphic user interface) is designed based on a "simple and friendly” principle. Via the web UI through a web browser on personal computer or mobile device (e.g., smart phones, PDAs), users can easily set up and operate the HIQ-3716 from remote sites. The flexible 16-ch NVR allows viewers to check and operate the system any way they like. And, more system functions, such as taking a snapshot, sending and receiving audio, as well as to start recording immediately and manually, etc. can be done with a single mouse-clicking both locally and remotely.

With the Google map embedded into its web UI, the HIQ-3716 offers event alerts through Google Map. This feature provides instant event notification along with Hiqview’s IP cameras geographic information. Users can zoom in to a specific region to monitor events from cameras within event-triggered regions. If an event is triggered from a camera situated outside the current viewing area, the Google map moves automatically to the area where the event trigger camera is located.

In addition, the HIQ-3716 NVR firmware can be upgraded easily by using a USB flash disk. Simply place the firmware file in a USB flash disk and plug it into the NVR, the system upgrade process starts automatically.

The HIQ-3716 has the potential to support SATA max. storage 8TBb (4TB x 2). With the built-in E-SATA (external SATA) interface, the HIQ-3716 NVR provides extended storage of up to 8Tb, making the total storage capacity up to 8Tb + 8Tb = 16TB and fulfilling any demands for large storage needs. The built-in RAID 1 is supplied with an inner hard-disc file redundancy function to secure image data storage.

For medium and large scale application IP surveillance systems, Hiqview provides the HIQ-3716 NVR with a free-bundled CMS (Central Management System). Hiqview’s CMS is capable of controlling up to 16 units of the HIQ-3716. In working with the Hiqview IP cameras, the HIQ-3716 NVR and the Hiqview CMS can build a 3-level IP surveillance system to manage up to 256 IP cameras. Thus, two CMS can control up to 512 IP cameras while three CMS can control up to 768 cameras, and so on. The 3-level architecture is certainly flexible enough to fulfill different system requirements in various environmental conditions.

Designed for great performance and high stability, the HIQ-3716 is suitable for applications such as small and medium business (SMB) scale surveillance systems.
