Hemispheric IP video door station

Langmeil, Germany

Mobotix presented its first IP Video Door Station, the T24, at the world's leading trade fair for architecture and technology the Light+Building exhibition in Frankfurt am Main. The new line of products with a hemispheric lens offers a solution that has never been available to the market until now, according to Mobotix.

The new IP Video Door Station, the T24, captures the entire entrance area without any blind spots, from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Traditional door cameras often only record visitors when they are standing directly in front of the lens. The fisheye lens displays the events in front of the lens as a 360° full image without any blind spots. Using the integrated image correction software, the image is corrected in the live view and sent to the remote video station. The image section can then be digitally tilted, panned or zoomed. The T24 is based on the international video telephony standard VoIP/SIP and H.264.

When the doorbell rings, a connection is established with a VoIP video phone, a standard computer or a tablet computer via the network. It is then possible to gain audio and video access to the door station from anywhere in the world. This means that the door can also be opened remotely.

The Mobotix access module, which can also be used independently, serves as the professional access control by entering a PIN code or by means of an RFID transponder. The module communicates directly with the security door opener via MxBus and can be programmed with a time control. The security door opener indoors makes it impossible to open the door by forcibly removing it and bypassing the connecting cable. A built-in battery also guarantees that the door can be securely locked and unlocked in the case of a power failure.

Digital voice messages can be left at the door station and accessed later. This means that notices of absences can be automatically played back when a visitor rings the doorbell, video messages with sound can be left at the door station and personal messages can be recorded for a specific person.

Events outside the building's door can be automatically recorded continuously or event controlled with lip-synchronized sound on an integrated memory. The decentralized processing and storing in the camera reduces the required bandwidth to a minimum and significantly cuts system costs.

The IP Video Door Station is connected to the network and supplied with power via an Ethernet cable, or alternatively using the Mx2wire extension set via two bell wires. By adding a high-resolution MOBOTIX camera, an existing door bell or simple door intercom can be transformed into a multi-functional access control system with little effort.

The convenient MxEasy software was developed by Mobotix specifically for simple and user-friendly operation. Any computer can quickly become a multi-functional T24 remote station with intuitive user interface.

The T24 product line is a modular system that can be adapted to suit the customer's individual wishes as required. The system is therefore suitable for both private and commercial use. The weatherproof outdoor station (IP65, suitable for temperatures ranging from -30°C to +60°C, -22°F to 140°F) is available in four colors: white, silver, dark gray and amber. Furthermore, the hemispheric camera module is also suitable for use with the Siedle Vario system. The individual Siedle modules are integrated into a specially developed Mobotix IO terminal board.
