Grundig expands IP camera portfolio
Remscheid, Germany
The GCI-H0812W uses a 2 megapixel CMOS sensor and progressive scan technology to produce high quality, quad video streams in H.264 and MJPEG compression modes. Installers can select 720p resolution at 25 frames per second (FPS) or 1080p at 13 FPS.
Andreas Franusic, product manager at Grundig, explains, “Quad video stream technology enables efficient video transmission and storage, whilst saving network bandwidth. The 2MP stream is ideal for NVR recording and the lower resolution D1 or CIF video streams are optimized for monitor displays, PCs, tablets and smartphone viewing.”
The GCI-H0812W comes with a 4mm lens, giving a 78° viewing angle, but has the option of a 2.8 mm lens with a 100° viewing angle. It also has a micro SD/SDHC memory card slot for alarm and scheduled image recording.
The flat dome video format is 16:9, which can be rotated through 90° to provide portrait (corridor view) or landscape views. It has 8x digital zoom with motion detection built-in. Five privacy zones are included and image quality has been further enhanced with ATW, WDR and DNR functionality.
