Geutebrück releases new hybrid DVR

Windhagen, Germany

The re_porter, Geutebrück's new compact, hybrid DVR is set to bring the performance and customising flexibility of the latest DSP technology to a wider market.

With independent signal processing for each of its 4, 8, 12 or 16 channels, this networkable system comes with operator software and digital matrix functionality already on board. It can be used with any mix of analogue and IP sources, including megapixel cameras from Arecont Vision, AXIS, SONY, Mobotix, IQInvision and JVC.

The re_porter supports permanent and event-controlled recording at up to 25 pps per channel in any picture format, and fully independent simultaneous streaming of up to 25 pps per channel into the network. It has a stereo audio channel which can be synchronised with any camera and comprehensive backup functionality.

Its MPEG4CCTV intelligent dynamic compression process automatically varies the picture rate and picture quality according to the movement or sound in the scene. This ensures that more data and detail is available when it is needed, and less when it is not, while achieving optimum use of network and storage capacities. MPEG4CCTV also supports the control of fast domes and pan & tilt heads, the display of multi-camera splits four times faster than conventional systems, and high quality pictures with fluid motion, even in time synch or backwards.

Re_porter is available from 1st April 2007.
