The images captured by the HIQ-6384 are compressed into two formats: H.264/ MJPEG for multiple resolution options in 1920x1080(full HD), 1280x720 (HD), 640x480(VGA), 320x240(QVGA), and 176x144(QCIF) modes. The user is able to choose a suitable streaming format based on the different bandwidth resources available. Plus in addition, the HIQ-6384 is also capable of outputting excellent images in real time in 1080p at 30fps.

The design of the aluminum housing is compliant to IP66 standards against water and dust ingress in difficult environments. The built-in vari-focal lens (7 ~ 22mm @ F1.4) and 56x IR-LEDs not only help with easy installation, but also allow for clear images during both day and night modes via the auto IR-cut filter mechanism and IR illumination of up to 50 metres in distance.

The network configuration of the camera has been designed to be easy and hassle-free. The HIQ-6384 IP camera can be located, if connected to the internet, with the aid of the installation tool provided. An analogue video output is included, making it possible to connect the IP camera directly to an analogue monitor at the local site. The HIQ-6384 is also designed to support 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) for ease of installation as no additional power lines are needed in this case. Consequently, the result is a total power line cost reduction in medium to large sized system deployments.

The HIQ-6384 is made ideally for open environment installations outdoors where it is important that the sites are with surveillance facilities both day and night, 24/7. This bullet-type IP camera has a rich set of surveillance functions including alarm, SD card local storage, and 2 way audio. The GUI design is based on a user-friendly principle. The open platform, built-in web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser. In addition, a free-bundled NVR software is provided with the HIQ-6384 which offers the user the possibility to create their own video surveillance and management system from their own PC.
