Forward Vision delivers mobile rapid deployment CCTV

Forward Vision's Mic1-400, affectionately known as "Metal Mickey" is being used for mobile rapid-deployment CCTV in emergency fire and rescue operations in the UK.
The mobile systems, designed by Forward Vision's partner Excelerate of Cardiff, Wales, incorporate a fully transportable satellite broadband virtual private network. The technology enables authorities to establish a robust communications link between the incident location and the headquarters or other coordinating agencies. The two-way communications system relays information in the form of e-mail, video, voice telephony and live streaming video from the Mic1-400 PTZ cameras. Incorporating a secure broadband satellite connection, the system also enables secure access to all headquarter data and applications for maximum in-field response capabilities at critical events such as natural disasters, industrial accidents, terrorist attacks and blackouts.
