Flir launches FC Series ID with on-board analytics

Wilsonville, Or (USA)

The new FC-Series ID from Flir introduces effective thermal cameras with built-in video analytics and optimised for intrusion detection in challenging environments and extreme conditions.

Ideal for perimeter protection applications, the new FC-Series ID cameras are designed to provide reliable, built-in video analytics with a very low false-alarm rate.  Auto calibration for depth setup allows for a simple and reliable configuration and no additional measurement tools are needed, requiring only a single installer on site

The series allows for analytics in corridor mode, reducing the number of cameras and improving the total cost of ownership and there is a manual and automatic masking option for any specified area within the scene.

This latest thermal camera series is engineered for superior image quality in challenging low contrast scenes, thanks to advanced thermal imaging enhancements, including AGC and dynamic detail enhancement (DDE).

There is also an expanded selection of high performance lenses with low f-numbers, five VGA options (from 44 to 8 degrees) and 7 QVGA options (from 44 to 4 degrees).  The optional de-icing feature means that the cameras can be used in some of the most demanding conditions.
