Exacq and Elerts integrate a cloud solution

Indianapolis, In (USA)

Exacq Technologies has confirmed a new integration with Elerts Corporation - the result is an in-the-cloud software solution used to instantly analyse incidents as they are sent from a smartphone app.
Elerts provides incident reporting software that integrates with an Exacqvision system. This smartphone communication network allows users running an Elerts app to easily report safety concerns to their organisation, police or security operations centre as they are occurring.

When an incident is reported from the Elerts app, Elerts sends the smartphone GPS location to its cloud server to determine which surveillance video camera is closest to the incident, based on the location of the smartphone. The Elerts server sends an event message to the Exacqvision server to focus attention on the nearest camera's field of view. When the Elerts integration is utilised, anyone who is connected to the Exacqvision server via the Exacqvision client software will immediately be switched to live video from the specified camera. This integration gives Exacqvision users the capability to intercept and appropriately act upon suspicious activities as they are happening at their facilities.

“We are excited to announce this partnership to provide our users with more timely information to assist in making better security decisions,” said Dave Underwood, President of Exacq Technologies. “The Elerts integration provides our customers with a new way to be active in their everyday efforts to maintain safe environments.”

"The combination of Exaqvision and Elerts demonstrates a new way to leverage investments in surveillance camera networks," said Ed English, CEO of Elerts Corp. "With the ability to focus attention on the one camera pointed at a security concern, Exacqvision customers can benefit from the human intuition of the person who submitted the report with their smartphone."
