Dahua surveillance at EcoIslamic Bank

Bank upgrades surveillance with Dahua

Dahua Technology, headquartered in Hangzhou, China has recently been instrumental in the upgrade of the security suveillance system at the EcoIslamic Bank.

The EcoIslamic Bank was the first Muslim commercial bank in Kyrgyzstan and provides a comprehensive range of financial services to customers across Kyrgyzstan over 120 branches. The Bank was re-registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic under the new name "EcoBank" in 1998. The Bank's core business is commercial banking, including corporate banking, personal banking and financial markets services.

With an expanding business and increasing security concerns, the bank requires a high-level security system. The bank therefore decided to upgrade its old CCTV system including the hallway, lobby, office area and vaults etc. The bank is moving to high-definition network cameras to take advantage of the vast improvement in image quality, and as for back-end device, the bank requires video storage for at least one month. As there is an increasing risk of theft and crime, the analogue security system was no longer meeting the needs of the bank, but the new Dahua hybrid solution was found to satisfy all the bank’s requirements..

Dahua has provided 150 units of network cameras, HF5200P, 129 units of analogue cameras, FW191G, and 124 units of Hybrid DVRs for the EcoIslamic Bank. The Dahua 2 megapixel full HD network camera, HF5200, can deliver high quality images in variable lighting conditions. It is the perfect solution for areas such as hallways, lobbies and vaults. With the wide dynamic range (WDR) function, it can eliminate the silhouetting effect of bright sunlight streaming in through a large window, ensuring that subjects are clearly visible. It also supports multiple network monitoring including Web browser, CMS (DSS/PSS) and DMSS.

The Dahua Mega-HDIS water-proof IR bullet camera, FW191G, was  mainly placed in the corners of the bank. It offers 800TVL which enables the provision of higher definition video and the ability to operate effectively in a wide range of weather conditions.

The Dahua Hybrid DVR turned out to be the right solution for addressing the problems of mixed systems where both analogue and network cameras have been applied. The Hybrid DVR-series is compatible with multi-brand network cameras in accordance with the bank’s current surveillance situation, and also allows for smooth real-time encoding and playback. The whole security system can be operated without interference both locally and remotely via a Smart PSS or a network.

In deploying the Dahua hybrid video surveillance solution, the EcoIslamic Bank has not only improved its security level but has also saved on total cost.
