Dahua HDCVI makes innovation awards finals

Hangzhou, China

Dahua Technology, a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products headquartered in Hangzhou, China has been named as a finalist in the Benchmark Innovation Awards for the company's new HDCVI technology.

Benchmark, a UK publication, believes that innovational power is the driving force to deliver real benefits. It aims to provide vital information to those seeking to create best-in-class solutions; meanwhile, Benchmark runs independent testing to deliver a genuine experience of using the products. The Benchmark Innovation Award inherits its spirit and aims to highlight such advances. Dahua HDCVI is categorised under the video hardware section with four other heavy weight finalists.

Dahua High Definition Composite Video Interface (HDCVI) is considered by many to be a technological breakthrough in the industry, offering a fast and easy upgrade to high definition under a conventional cabling environment. The in-house technology — HDCVI — features over-coaxial-cable analogue HD video transmission, allowing reliable long-distance HD transmission at a lower cost, while complex deployment is still applicable. The highlights of HDCVI include easy upgrade to HD, long-distance transmission, no latency and 3 signals over 1 cable transmission.

Furthermore, Dahua is working together with the HDcctv Alliance on HDcctv 2.0 AT, delivering true HDTV signals over any legacy CCTV coaxial cabling, along with plug ‘n’ play up-the-coax remote control. HDcctv 2.0 AT, in particular, provides the means to upgrade any analogue system to HD quality video with remote control without disturbing the legacy infrastructure.
