Dahua adds 3 megapixel camera to Eco-Savvy series

Dahua Technology has recently introduced the Eco-Savvy 3 megapixel 5000-series network cameras, including domes (IPC-HDB(W)5302-DI/5300-DI) and IR-bullets (IPC-HFW5302C/5300c) to complement its Eco-Savvy family, featuring power efficiency, better bitrate, ultra low-lux with enhanced installation details.
The new network camera series features 3 megapixel CMOS sensors and supports up to a max of 20fps@3Mp and 25/30fps@1080P encoding. Other regular functions such as DWDR, 3DNR, true day/night are all supported. More details have been taken into account during design for a better surveillance effect. Taking the IR bullet as an example, with a new-array of IR LEDs in a circular formation, the camera is able to provide longer IR distance and wider coverage for a better night vision effect; and its dual-loop glass cover efficiently separates the lens and the IR LEDs, which successfully avoids reflection on to the lens to ensure a clear and transparent image quality.
 
The new 3M network camera series simplifies installation as well. The SD card slot on the IR bullet has been relocated, so that it can be easily inserted into the camera by opening the glass cover, instead of unscrewing the back cover, which brings greater convenience and ease during installation and maintenance. As for the domes, both flush mount and on-ceiling models are available depending on the application demand, and the dome cover is made of dust-free smoked glass, to save having to worry about installation locations where haze or dust are a regular occurrence.
 
“The Eco-Savvy series has been a hit, and we want to further refine this product line to make it more competitive and easier to use," said Peter Pan, Product Manager of Network Cameras at Dahua Technology. “This time, we have put more effort in o improving details to further improve the user experience. We are looking more at how to make sure our cameras are easy to install to deliver the best performance through our design mechansims."
