CyberLock technology for retail display cases and cabinets

Corvallis, Oregon (USA)

Videx, Inc. announces that CyberLock technology is now available for retail display cases and cabinets. With CyberLock, store owners can easily implement an electronic lock system that greatly reduces incidences of internal theft by providing accountability and key control. This is done simply by replacing the mechanical cylinders in their display case locks with CyberLock electronic cylinders. No wiring is required for installation.

The CyberLock system consists of the electronic lock that cannot be compromised by any conventional lock-picking methods, and the electronic key that cannot be duplicated. With CyberLock, management has complete control over who can access their display cases as well as what days and hours they can open those locks. Each time the electronic key opens a lock, a record of the opening is stored in both the lock and key, providing a detailed audit report of openings and denied entries.

The system eliminates worries about a lost key because the missing key can be quickly blocked from the system, making it inactive. Managers will never have to go to the time and expense of re-keying their display cases again.

In addition to display cases, Videx manufactures electronic cylinders for installing in lock hardware on cabinets, interior and exterior doors, cash boxes, safes, or anywhere a mechanical lock is present. An extensive line of intelligent electronic padlocks for securing warehouses, freight containers, and storage cabinets is also available.
