Counter Terror show comes to Abu Dhabi in October

Abu Dhabi, U.A.E

Building on the success of the Counter Terror Expo, which has been held in London and Washington DC, Clarion Events Middle East is bringing Counter Terror Arabia to Abu Dhabi in October 2011.
In today’s uncertain environment, the threats posed by terrorism are ever present and constantly evolving, so it is vital that knowledge-sharing and the exchange of best practice is increased to allow governments to effectively tackle the challenges faced.

Bringing together the world’s foremost experts from governments, security services, law enforcement organizations, armed forces and academia in a high-level strategic conference with leading solution providers and industry partners in a specialised exhibition, Counter Terror Expo will be a must-attend event for those tasked with the complex role of protecting people and infrastructure from the threats posed by terrorism. The show takes place at the Abu Dhabit National Exhibition Centre, from the 31st October to the 2nd November later this year.

A recent report by Forecast International estimated that in 2010, the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) invested US $68.3 billion in defence and security technologies to protect themselves from the threats faced. The same report predicted that the level of investment would rise to an estimated US $72.4 billion in 2011 and continue growing to US $82.5 billion by 2015. It is clear from this level of investment that governments in the GCC are taking the threats faced incredibly seriously and are willing to invest to protect their infrastructure and people.
