Conventional smoke detector series
Eindhoven, The Netherlands
Also four-wire connection to panels and base sounder connection is supported The series comprises optical, heat, combined optical-heat and optical-chemical versions, which, with a choice of mounting bases, suit a variety of applications. Besides small commercial industry, retail stores and institutional fire system installations, the detector finds also its use as an addition together with intrusion panels or in residential applications.
Signals from the detector's sensors are continually analyzed by built-in evaluation electronics. Linking the optical and chemical sensors means that an alarm will be triggered only if the signal combination corresponds to the detector's programmed code field. This ensures extremely high reliable operation also under critical environment conditions. The response threshold (drift compensation) of the optical and chemical sensors is actively adjusted and therefore automatically adapted to changes of the environment and air pollution.
The signal processing of the sensor signals use rule-based algorithms to effectively distinguish between real fire situations and nuisance signals.
Maintenance time and cost are reduced through the so-called Chamber Maid Function that enables easy cleaning. Ease of maintenance is further enhanced by the detector's dust-repellent and cap construction. Other features include activation of a remote external alarm display and a mechanical removal lock on the detector base that can be activated and deactivated.
