Consilium receives a 11 MSEK order in Qatar

Qatar

Consilium Automation in Middle East has received an order of 11 MSEK for installation and test of electrical systems and instrumentation in connection with the building of a pipeline with associated pump stations.

The order is awarded to Consilium Qatar, and is the third similar order for installation of electrical systems and instrumentation for pipelines with associated pump stations in Qatar. Consilium Qatar is awarded this contract from Punj Lloyd, a major engineering company within the Oil & Gas industry in the Middle East. The end customer is Qatar Petroleum, one of the world's largest Oil & Gas companies.

This "Strategic Gas Transmission Project" includes 211 km of pipeline with associated pump stations and infrastructure. The pipeline shall transport "sweet lean gas" from the gas field Ras Laffan to different customers via a 36 inch pipeline.

"The good order intake for Business area Automation continues in 2010. This operation continues to develop positively, and we withhold our expectation of a substantial increase of net sales during the next years", says Ove Hansson, Consilium President and CEO.

"This is a good example of the growth potential from projects in the Consilium business development portfolio. The automation business has become a separate business area, and shows strong growth despite the global recession", says Ove Hansson.
